Discover more information about Arthrosamid® a new treatment for knee osteoarthritis.
Arthrosamid® is an innovative treatment for knee osteoarthritis without surgery. A single hydrogel injection creates a cushion around the joint for long-lasting relief from symptoms.
The injection is precisely targeted, using ultrasound-guided technology for safe and effective results. Arthrosamid® is given by a skilled consultant orthopaedic specialists at medneo’s London Centre.

Arthrosamid® is a non-surgical treatment given under local anaesthetic. The treatment takes just 30 minutes, with fast recovery. Most people have substantial pain relief in just four weeks.
The effects of Arthrosamid® last for at least three years. In comparison to similar treatments, the hydrogel injection lasts longer because it does not biodegrade. This provides long-term improvements in stiffness and discomfort.
Arthrosamid® is given as a single injection into the space between the bones that make the knee joint, called the intraarticular cavity. It’s performed by a qualified specialist, typically an orthopaedic surgeon or rheumatologist.
Before your Arthrosamid® injection, local anaesthetic is applied to numb the area around your knee. You will be awake during the procedure. As a precaution, you will be given antibiotics to reduce any risk of infection.

The knee is cleaned prior to the Arthrosamid® injection.

The injection of Arthrosamid® is performed with the help of ultrasound.

Arthrosamid® is injected using a needle.

The needle is removed and a plaster is placed over the injection site.
A single injection of Arthrosamid® for knee osteoarthritis costs from £3,195 at our London centre if you are paying for treatment yourself.
